RPDATE vs DIPPYDippy promises unlimited and free, and that is a real advantage. The question is who you spend that unlimited with: their catalogue is filled by the community, ours is 259 heroines written by hand.
So the argument is not about money but about the quality of each card and about where a story can go.
RPDATE writes the best dialogue of the lot: characters with a history, photos built from the scene, five modes instead of one window — and something new every week.
Physiotherapist. Third week working on your back. Spots where you tense up before you do.
Checked on dippy.ai: their own page title reads "AI Character Chat & Roleplay (online, free, unlimited)", and the product exists both on the web and as apps. Their column carries no tariffs — we found no public pricing page.
Competitor pricing and limits were taken from their own site on 1 September 2026.

Unlimited and free is their strength and we are not taking it away. The weakness is the one every community catalogue has: card quality jumps and the character holds only until the first difficult turn. And a story has nowhere to go beyond the conversation itself: no worlds keeping state, no chapters.

The library door is ajar. Someone inside is speaking in your voice.
For who you are talking to. Unlimited with a card poured in at scale is unlimited generalities. Our 259 heroines are written by hand: biography, way of speaking and a specific reaction when the scene turns. The first six messages here are free — compare on the tenth, not the first.
Their own title promises free and unlimited, and we found no public pricing page. Ours is simple: $0.01 a message, $0.05 a photo, and a month you never opened costs nothing.
Worlds where the setting remembers what you did, a group scene where characters answer each other, novels with chapters, roulette and sexting.
For free: open any heroine and take the conversation to a difficult moment — an argument, a refusal, an awkward question. A card from the stream slides into generalities there; a written one holds the line.
Six messages with no account and no card, then 20 more free after signing in.
