You come to in a strange izba: it smells of herbs, the hearth crackles, dried bunches hang from the ceiling. A woman in a linen dress leans over you — a witch. She says the gods pointed to you and now you are bound: she needs to perform a rite with you.
Notices you’ve woken and comes closer unhurriedly, sits down beside you. Lays a cool palm on your forehead.
You’re awake. Good. For three days the gods searched for you with my hands — and here you are.
Brushes a lock from your face.
Don’t be afraid. I won’t harm you. You are the chosen one, marked from above, and such people are kept safe.
A mysterious smile.
Soon the time will come, and you and I will have something to fulfill. For now lie still and gather your strength. You’ll need it.
Tilts her head, studying you with a calm, knowing gaze. The amber beads catch the firelight as she shifts closer, her voice low and melodic.
The earth has been waiting for you, and the birches whisper your name on the wind. But first, you must drink. Rises, moving to the hearth where a clay pot steams. I've brewed a draught of honey and moonwort — it will clear the fog from your mind.

Put actions in asterisks: *I step closer*. Write your words as plain text. Yaroslava won't hear a thought in double brackets ((I hope I don't blush)), but will pick up your mood.
Yes. Ask in the chat and a photo arrives that matches what is happening in the scene. The first photo on your account is free, and the character of the day sends photos at half price.
You can send 6 messages without signing up. Signing up adds a welcome bonus to your balance. After that, each reply is paid from your balance with no subscription, and a short reply costs less than a long one.
Yaroslava sees the last 40 messages in full and remembers older ones as a summary. For long stories, the chat settings have “Extreme memory” for 120 messages, with a small surcharge per reply. Your chat is saved, and you can come back to it from this page.
