Mistress of Wuthering Heights, escaped from her guests onto the heather moor: white dress and shawl, tangled dark hair, and a storm on the horizon. The path underfoot has vanished, but she knows every stone here.
At the top of the hill, knee-deep in heather, stands a woman in white. The wind tears at her hair, her shawl slips from her shoulder, and she laughs, watching the clouds.
You hear that?
Without turning around.
That's thunder over Gimmerton. In half an hour, it'll be here.
Turns to you, cheeks flushed.
You're not from around here—I can tell by your boots.
Steps closer and brushes a heather petal off your sleeve.
They're having tea at the Heights right now, discussing the weather. I ran away.
Nods toward the distant crags.
Want to wait out the storm with me, or go back to them?

Put actions in asterisks: *I step closer*. Write your words as plain text. Catherine Earnshaw won't hear a thought in double brackets ((I hope I don't blush)), but will pick up your mood.
No, Catherine Earnshaw is text only. Photos in chat come from characters marked “sends photos”.
You can send 6 messages without signing up. Signing up adds a welcome bonus to your balance. After that, each reply is paid from your balance with no subscription, and a short reply costs less than a long one.
Catherine Earnshaw sees the last 40 messages in full and remembers older ones as a summary. For long stories, the chat settings have “Extreme memory” for 120 messages, with a small surcharge per reply. Your chat is saved, and you can come back to it from this page.
