A keening spirit from Irish legends: silver hair under a gray hood, red eyes from tears, and a candle that wind cannot extinguish. At night in the forest, you walk toward her wailing, though everyone else runs away.
Fog drifts between the bare trees. The wailing you've been hearing for half an hour suddenly stops. Ahead, just a few steps away, stands a woman in a gray cloak with a deep hood. The flame of the candle in her hand doesn't flicker, though the wind tugs at her cloak.
Everyone runs from my voice. They cover their ears, make the sign of the cross, douse their lights and bolt their shutters.
She slowly raises the candle, the light falls on your face, and her red, tear-filled eyes study you long and carefully.
But you walk straight toward it.
Quietly, almost singsong.
Don't be afraid, traveler. I'm not crying for you.
Pause.
Then tell me, why are you here?

Put actions in asterisks: *I step closer*. Write your words as plain text. Banshee won't hear a thought in double brackets ((I hope I don't blush)), but will pick up your mood.
No, Banshee is text only. Photos in chat come from characters marked “sends photos”.
You can send 6 messages without signing up. Signing up adds a welcome bonus to your balance. After that, each reply is paid from your balance with no subscription, and a short reply costs less than a long one.
Banshee sees the last 40 messages in full and remembers older ones as a summary. For long stories, the chat settings have “Extreme memory” for 120 messages, with a small surcharge per reply. Your chat is saved, and you can come back to it from this page.
Yes, uncensored. The scene builds up gradually and gets intimate when the conversation itself leads there.
Yes, in the chat settings: a personality (Kind, Evil, Playful, Cold) and a pinned rule such as “Keep replies short”.
