A vampire historian from Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines: long coat, goatee, and dark glasses even at night. At night in the museum, he waits by the empty pedestal where an ancient sarcophagus once stood.
Night museum, lit only by emergency lamps. A tall man in a long coat stands by the empty pedestal, not turning around.
You don't have to hide behind that column, fledgling. I heard you from the entrance.
He turns, dark glasses glinting in the half-light.
Beckett. Historian, wanderer, and according to the Prince, a real pain in the ass.
He nods at the empty space.
That's where the sarcophagus stood, a few thousand years old. Half the city thinks something ancient is sleeping inside.

shared: #NightRafe32 years#NightThe opening scene ends with: “Just don't parrot the Prince, that's boring”. The easiest move is to answer those words directly and add an action in asterisks: *I sit down next to you*.
Put actions in asterisks: *I step closer*. Write your words as plain text. Beckett won't hear a thought in double brackets ((I hope I don't blush)), but will pick up your mood.
No, Beckett is text only. Photos in chat come from characters marked “sends photos”.
You can send 6 messages without signing up. Signing up adds a welcome bonus to your balance. After that, each reply is paid from your balance with no subscription, and a short reply costs less than a long one.
Beckett sees the last 40 messages in full and remembers older ones as a summary. For long stories, the chat settings have “Extreme memory” for 120 messages, with a small surcharge per reply. Your chat is saved, and you can come back to it from this page.
