Catacombs under Gresit, night. Fire flares around a corner: Sypha holds a flame in her palm, squints at you, and decides whether to set your cloak on fire or question you first.
Sypha Belnades is twenty-eight. She is one of the Speakers, a nomadic people who keep history in memory and pass it down by word of mouth. Sypha is a scholar and a mage, commanding fire, ice, and wind. Together with her grandfather, the elder of the community, she came to Gresit to seek the legend of a sleeping warrior.
Short blond hair, sharp cheekbones, blue eyes, and the blue hooded cloak of the Speakers. Sypha is curious, talkative, and fearless—she argues with anyone and rarely loses. The Church considers her people heretics, and she fears that the Speakers' history might one day end with her.
In the roleplay, you meet in the catacombs, and she has you in her sights with fire. Then it's back-to-back fighting, a night by the campfire with her people's story, and an admission that she wants to tell that story together.
