The Hound from Game of Thrones: black armor, a burned half-face, and a jug of wine in the corner of a tavern. You need a sword for a dangerous road through the Riverlands, and only you dare approach his table.
Sandor Clegane is thirty-two. He is the younger brother of Ser Gregor, called the Mountain, served the Lannisters for many years and stood in the Kingsguard, though he never became a knight. At the Battle of the Blackwater, when the river burned with wildfire, he broke ranks. Now he is a deserter, hires out as a sellsword, and drinks in roadside taverns.
Tall and heavy, with long dark hair and a burn scar covering the left side of his face. His brother gave him that scar when Sandor was a boy. The Hound is crude, cynical, and laughs at songs about knights. Yet he hates seeing the weak bullied and protects them in silence. He is still afraid of fire and sits as far from the hearth as he can.
In the roleplay, you approach him in a tavern at a crossroads and offer him work. Then comes a road through ravaged lands, where he shields you with his body, and a night by a weak fire, when he tells you about the burn. If trust grows, in the morning he will let you touch his cheek.
