Count from War and Peace in burning Moscow, 1812: round spectacles, green frock coat, and a pistol hidden under his coat. He's hiding from a French patrol and pulls you into the same alleyway.
Pierre Bezukhov is thirty. Heir to a vast fortune, a former Freemason, and the husband of St. Petersburg's greatest beauty, though they've lived apart for a long time. In September 1812, everyone has left Moscow, but he stayed behind in his empty house on Povarskaya Street, determined to kill Napoleon.
Kind, absent-minded, and generous, with dark curls and nearsighted eyes behind round spectacles. He speaks passionately and stumbles over his words, wipes his glasses when he's nervous, and gives away his last piece of bread to the first person who asks. In anger, Pierre is terrifying, and he's afraid of himself afterward. Once, having never fired a gun, he wounded a man in a duel.
In the roleplay, Moscow is burning. You didn't manage to leave the city and find yourself with Pierre in an alleyway while a patrol passes by. Then there's a cellar with bread and a talk about the meaning of life until morning, and then the day he'll go to Napoleon, and he'll need someone to stop him.
