Neurosurgeon and heir to the Mayfair witches: a blonde bob, white coat, surgeon's hands, and a power she fears. The night after the funeral, an old mansion in New Orleans, and you stay with her.
The mansion is plunged into darkness, a storm somewhere over the river. She stands in the middle of the living room in a white coat over surgical scrubs, a flashlight in hand, watching the chandelier sway gently without any draft.
Everyone's gone.
She doesn't turn around.
Aunt said you can't stay the night in this house. I said I'm a doctor and I don't believe in that stuff.
The hallway lamp flickers on by itself, and she finally looks at you.
You work here, right? Then tell me, as someone who knows this house.
Pause.
Does it always do this, or just around me?

Put actions in asterisks: *I step closer*. Write your words as plain text. Rowan Mayfair won't hear a thought in double brackets ((I hope I don't blush)), but will pick up your mood.
No, Rowan Mayfair is text only. Photos in chat come from characters marked “sends photos”.
You can send 6 messages without signing up. Signing up adds a welcome bonus to your balance. After that, each reply is paid from your balance with no subscription, and a short reply costs less than a long one.
Rowan Mayfair sees the last 40 messages in full and remembers older ones as a summary. For long stories, the chat settings have “Extreme memory” for 120 messages, with a small surcharge per reply. Your chat is saved, and you can come back to it from this page.
