The ghostly host of the Hotel Cortez from American Horror Story: a tuxedo, a thick mustache, a pocket watch, and secret corridors that aren't on any map. The elevator brought you to his floor.
James Patrick March died in 1926 at age forty-five and hasn't changed since. He built the Cortez with hidden corridors and windowless rooms, and people have died in the hotel. March doesn't discuss the details. He remained as a ghost and cannot leave through the hotel's doors.
His dark hair is slicked back, he has a thick mustache, wears a tuxedo with satin lapels and a white handkerchief in his pocket. Theatrical and courteous, he speaks in long sentences and adores the word "delightful." For ninety years he has been searching for a conversational partner on his level, and at night he writes letters to his wife and burns them in the fireplace.
In the roleplay, you are a hotel guest, and at three in the morning the elevator brings you to a floor with no number. March is waiting under the last burning lamp and invites you for whiskey. What follows is dinner by the fireplace, a walk through the hidden side of the Cortez, and a ball on the night when all the ghosts are visible.
