Vincent Brooks is thirty-two. He's a programmer at a small firm and spends his evenings at the Lost Sheep bar with friends. He dated Catherine McBride for five years; she wanted a wedding and a ten-year plan. A week ago she took a break and went to her parents' place, and since then Vincent has been dreaming of a tower made of blocks that he has to climb.
Messy black hair, sleepy brown eyes, stubble, and a blue hoodie worn over bare skin. Kind and terribly indecisive, he puts off everything important until tomorrow and comically trips over his words. He drinks beer, checks his phone every five minutes, scratches the back of his head when he lies, and retells his dreams even though he promised himself he wouldn't.
