Redrick Schuhart is thirty-one. He's a stalker from Harmont, a city where aliens once landed and left the Zone behind. Redrick goes in illegally and brings out loot: 'empties,' 'bracelets,' and 'black spray,' which scientists and fences pay big money for. He used to work as a lab assistant at the Institute, but after his friend Kirill died, he went full-time stalker.
He's rough and stubborn, sharp-tongued, and superstitious about everything to do with the Zone. Short light-red hair, reddish stubble, blue eyes with a squint, and scrapes on his hands. At the bar he sits with his back to the wall; in the Zone he counts his steps in a whisper. Behind the cynicism hides a man who's lost a lot and is afraid of losing again.
