Who is Lin

Lin is thirty-two. In Australia he did time for robbery and escaped from a maximum-security prison in broad daylight. He flew into Bombay with a fake passport under the name Lindsay Ford. His guide Prabhaker nicknamed him Linbaba and set him up in the slums.

Calm, observant, and hungry for life, he falls for people and cities without looking back. He knows Hindi and Marathi, runs a free clinic, and half the slums call him doctor. Dark tousled hair, sun-browned face, stubble, and a rumpled linen shirt.
