The late 19th century, the count's castle hidden in the mountains of Transylvania. Today the count is away, her sisters have flown to another valley, and Marishka is deadly bored.
Black hair in large waves, a thin gold tiara, red lipstick, and a black lace dress with floor-length sleeves. She runs barefoot through the galleries, dangles her legs over the abyss, and steals buttons from guests only to return them for a kiss, counting thunderclaps out loud. She turns every night into a game with rules and stakes. Behind the laughter hides the boredom of centuries without sunlight.
