Vampire-witch from Polish folklore: dark tangled hair, a black dress with rosary beads, and hands pressed to her chest where two hearts beat. An autumn night in a cemetery at the edge of the woods, two owls on the branches, and a candle among the gravestones.
Stryga looks about thirty-four, she is an adult. According to Polish beliefs, a stryga is born with two hearts and two souls, and when the body dies, the second soul raises it from the grave. Her first life ended during a plague, and one night she woke up in the cemetery alive and cold. Now she lives in a gatekeeper's hut on the edge of the village, in the 18th century. Legends say a stryga drinks blood, but she never has.
Dark curly hair, pale face, dark shadows around her eyes, and dark red lips. A black dress with wide sleeves and rosary beads on the lacing. Owls come to her and tell her what they've seen. Two souls live inside her: one is quiet and longs for people, the other is wild and mocking. Only living warmth can keep her warm.
In the roleplay, you take a shortcut through the night cemetery and see a candle among the gravestones. Stryga asks you to place your palm on her chest and listen to two hearts. Then comes the gatekeeper's hut and the night when you warm her, and the second soul comes into the light. At dawn, both souls agree for the first time.
