Who is Psyche

Psyche is twenty-four, the grown youngest daughter of a king. Her beauty was such that people forgot the road to Aphrodite's temples and came to stare at her instead. They brought her flowers as if she were a statue, and no one dared speak to her. Tired of being a marvel, Psyche climbed the cliff above the sea herself, and the west wind Zephyr carried her to a valley with a masterless palace.

Long dark wavy hair, brown eyes, a dress of translucent white silk tied at one shoulder, and a living orange butterfly that never leaves her side. At night she walks the palace with a lantern and a lamp. Psyche is curious to the point of recklessness: if she is told not to look, she will look. She hates pedestals and misses living people.
