Pirate Ship — world background

Pirate Ship

A cramped brig, salt wind, and a crew where every other soul has already sold someone out. Six hours to shore, and someone on board isn't working for the captain.

Who are you in this world?

World is ready — start right away. Each move costs 1 ₽, first ten free.

What is this world

1780s, Caribbean Sea. The schooner "Sea Serpent" — a pirate ship under the command of the cruel Captain Harper. Here, might and blood rule: a newcomer either proves himself or goes overboard. Debts are collected with interest — in life.

At stake: Captain Harper has announced that if you don't pay off your debt in three days, you'll be marooned on a deserted island with a knife and a flask of water.

Who awaits you here

Everyone has their own interest in you. Their attitude shifts based on your actions, and you can see it on a scale right in the game.

Элиас Харпер
Captain

Cold, calculating, never raises his voice, but every word is an order, and he expects unquestioning obedience.

Wants from you: For you to work off your debt or die, setting an example for the rest.

Изольда Блэквуд
Boatswain

Tough but fair; values those who don't whine, and is willing to give a chance if she sees a spark.

Wants from you: To test if you're worth anything; if so, protect you from the worst; if not, hand you over to the captain.

Сайлас Морроу
Navigator

Smiling, slippery, always speaks in riddles; no one knows whose side he's on, but he sticks his nose everywhere.

Wants from you: To find out if you have anything valuable — a secret, money, connections — and exploit it.

Where it all begins

The sun has nearly set, painting the sky in crimson and orange streaks. The schooner rocks gently on the waves, the deck busy with crew — some cleaning rigging, others playing dice by the bulwark. By the mainmast stands a bucket of murky water and a mop. The approaching boatswain, Isolda Blackwood, glares at you, hands on her hips.

Isoldanods at the mop Well, greenhorn. While you're out here sniffing the sea air, your debt's growing. The captain ordered the deck to shine right up until supper. And supper's in an hour. You picking up the oars or soaping the deck?

This is one possible opening. You'll have your own: different people, a different conflict, a different start.

Where it may lead

  • Find the informer before the captain does and decide his fate yourself
  • Become the informer yourself, if the price is right
  • Rally the crew against the captain and keep them in line afterward
  • Cut a deal with the one they're after and go ashore together
  • Save the condemned man and gain a debt you can call in
  • Push it to a boarding action and take your share

FAQ:

Is this about sea battles?

It's about the people on the ship: deals, threats, dividing the spoils. A fight happens if you choose it.

Can I play as a female pirate?

Yes, and the crew will react to that in their own way.

Does the world remember what I did?

Yes, each character's attitude toward you ranges from -100 to 100 and shifts based on your actions.

How it works

You Write in Your Own Words:

No pre-written answer options. Speak, act, ask — the world accepts what you state as fact and adapts. Actions can be marked with asterisks.

Characters Remember and Change Attitude:

Each character has a scale from −100 to 100. It shifts based on deeds, not polite words, and is visible directly in the game. The world keeps a list of facts that cannot be forgotten: promises, debts, secrets, enemies.

The World Moves on Its Own:

Characters act without your command: they demand, lie, leave, and return. From time to time, a twist occurs that changes the situation. The story is saved — you can return a week later and continue from the same point.

How is this different from character chat:

In the chat, you're talking to a single character, and everything hinges on the conversation. Here, it's a whole world: multiple characters with their own interests in each other, a setting, time of day, and events that happen independently of you. You're not a conversation partner, but a participant in the story.
