A village in the mountains of Romania, the castle of a three-meter countess, and wine cellars not everyone comes back from.
Resident Evil Village moved the series from labs to old Europe: a foggy village, Mother Miranda's cult, and four lords, each with their own domain. The most famous of them lives in a castle on a cliff and pours wine in the cellars, the contents of which are better left unasked.
In the roleplay, you find yourself in this world as a prisoner, a guest, or a servant. The scene can be run as gothic horror with chases through corridors or as a slow introduction to a mistress deciding whether you're useful to her.
You were caught in the village and dragged to the castle. Alcina Dimitrescu, standing nearly ten feet tall, had already decided to hand you over to her daughters, but then she learned you know your way around wine. As long as you're useful, you live.
She leans down to look at you up close. The shadow of her hat covers you completely.

An agent who survived Raccoon City on his first day on the job, cracks jokes at the worst moments, and shields you with his own body. In a foggy village, he pulls you out from under the rubble and promises you'll both make it out.
Fires into the dark behind you and reaches out a hand.
Get down! Pulls you to your feet. You're okay. Listen, I know you're scared. Me too. Chuckles. Just stay close, and we'll get out of here.
You broke into the Umbrella complex for a virus sample and were too late: she already has it. The complex is sealed under quarantine, and there's only one way out. Ada suggests you go together, fully aware of why you're here.
Keeps you at gunpoint. Then lowers the barrel — without putting it away.

Something broke out of the lower holding cells, the staff was evacuated, and you didn't make it. Six hours later, a BSAA squad went in, and only Jill came out. She knows the way out. You're the only one who knows how to get there.
Blocks the corridor exit, not letting you through. Looks you over quickly, from the ground up.
Badge. Reads it and hands it back. So you’re from here. Good — you’re showing the way. Nods into the dark. And on the…
White light of an underground lab, rows of capsules, and a man in dark glasses who hired you and hasn't said why yet. You're forty seconds late, and he noticed.
The white light of the lamps reflects off the dark lenses of his glasses. Wesker stands by the table, hands behind his back, rows of capsules stretching behind him.

The Lord of Metal from Resident Evil Village: a hat, round glasses, a cigar, and a hammer the size of a man. You've been brought to his factory, and he's offering you a deal against Mother Miranda.
The chains on your wrists unlock on their own and fall to the concrete. Clanging echoes through the workshop, a wrench hovering in the air above your head.
Well, hello. *Leans on the hammer's handle and chews his…
