Arthur Golden's novel was published in 1997, and a film adaptation followed in 2005. It tells the story of geisha Sayuri from Gion, her rivalry with Hatsumomo, and her years-long secret love for a man everyone calls the Chairman.
In the roleplay, Sayuri is twenty-five, a mature and one of Gion's most renowned geisha, while the Chairman is about forty-five. Each leads their own scene with you: Sayuri stays with you after a reception at the tea house, and the Chairman meets you on a bridge over the Shirakawa. Intimacy in scenes is only consensual.
