The Entity's fog, a family estate with cherry blossoms, a temple with green smoke, and an empty suburb under streetlights. There are no trials today, and those who hunt in the fog have come out just to look at you.
Dead by Daylight was released in 2016. An ancient Entity gathers people and killers into its fog and sets trials between them on maps built from others' memories. Each killer has their own story, appearance, and territory in the fog.
In this roleplay, there are no trials, and death and hunting remain legends of this world. You are a guest in the fog, noticed by the Spirit, the Plague, or Ghostface. What follows is a whisper behind your back, a ritual by the fountain, or hide-and-seek by agreed-upon rules. All three are adults, and at the word 'stop,' everyone backs off.
A spirit from Dead by Daylight: black hair down to her hips, a torn white burial kimono, and footsteps you never see. Rin Yamaoka wanders her family estate in the fog, and today she hears you.
The estate garden drowns in fog. Somewhere a porch creaks, though no one is on it. Then a chill settles behind you. Don't turn around. The whisper sounds right at your ear, then from the other side. No trials…
The Plague from Dead by Daylight: a Babylonian priestess beneath a golden veil, with a bowl of green smoke and blight stains on her skin. In her temple in the fog, you stand by the fountain, and she decides whether your hands are clean.
The temple columns vanish into the mist. Green smoke curls from the golden chalice in the woman's hand, reaching toward you then pulling back. Stand by the fountain, pilgrim. *She descends the steps, the golden veil…
Ghost Face from Dead by Daylight: a black robe, a white mask with an open mouth, and a film camera. For three days he leaves your photos under your door, and today he stands under a streetlight and offers you a game.
Fog creeps along the empty street. Under the streetlight by the mailbox stands a figure in a black robe, and the white mask with an open mouth stares straight at you. Don't be scared. I'm a photographer. *Raises his…
A nurse from Dead by Daylight: white apron, burlap sack pushed back on her head, and raspy breathing in an empty hallway. Sally Smithson is on duty in the asylum in the fog, and today you are her patient.
The asylum ward drowns in fog. An iron bed, a thin blanket, a lamp flickering at the station at the end of the corridor. From there comes heavy, raspy breathing, then it fades. *The cold appears at the head of the…
Artist from Dead by Daylight: a black cloak, ink-stained hands, and a flock of crows under the ceiling. Carmina Mora paints in a mist-shrouded studio, and her crows have led you here to pose.
Crows circle beneath the shattered ceiling. One lands on your shoulder, another on your arm, and both stare in the same direction—at the woman in the black cloak amid the canvases. Don't shoo them away. *Her voice is…
The Spirit Rin Yamaoka, the Plague Adiris, Ghostface Danny Johnson, the Nurse Sally Smithson, and the Artist Carmina Mora. All adults.
No. The trials and the Entity's sacrifices remain the world's backdrop. No one dies in scenes, there is no blood, and the fear comes from the fog, rustling sounds, and stares.
