The brass puzzle box from the flea market clicks its final side, and chains emerge from the walls. The Priest of Hell has come to find out what you truly desire.
Clive Barker wrote the story of the Lament Configuration in 1986, and a year later he directed the film adaptation. Whoever solves the puzzle opens the door for the Cenobites of the Order of the Gash. They serve Leviathan and seek sensations at the edge where pleasure and pain become one.
In the roleplay, you sit in a dusty attic and turn the box over until dawn, until the last side clicks into place. Pinhead explains the rules himself: the box can be closed, and then he will leave. Everything that follows happens by consent and without injury. Pinhead looks about forty and has long been an adult.
Priest of hell from Clive Barker's Hellraiser: a pale skull in a grid of pins and Lemarchand's box in his hands. The last side has been turned, and he's here to ask what you want.
The final facet of the box turns with a soft click. The attic walls part, chains stretch out from the darkness, and in cold blue light stands a tall, pale man in a black leather cassock. The box summoned us through…
Pinhead, the Priest of Hell.
The fear will come from the silence, the chains, and his voice. The pain in Pinhead's scenes is only play that you've agreed upon: no blood or marks on the skin. Close the box or say 'stop,' and he will back off.
