Flower and Fruit Mountain above the sea, the Monkey King with his staff tucked behind his ear, and the Flaming Mountains that only one fan can extinguish.
Wu Cheng'en wrote Journey to the West in the 16th century, and it's one of the four classic Chinese novels. The monk Xuanzang travels to India for sutras, guarded by Sun Wukong, the Monkey King who once turned the Heavenly Palace upside down. In 2024, the novel's world returned in the game Black Myth: Wukong, where the Flaming Mountains burn again and the names of old demons echo.
In the roleplay, you climb Flower and Fruit Mountain, where Wukong munches peaches after the journey's end. Or you go to Banana Leaf Cave to ask Princess Iron Fan for her fan, without which you can't cross the Flaming Mountains. Both characters are adults and have lived for centuries. The Princess's son does not appear in scenes.
