Superheroes with contracts and ratings, the Vought tower over New York City, and a crew that hunts those who can fly.
Eric Kripke's series grew out of Garth Ennis's comic. Here, superheroes are owned by the Vought corporation: it makes movies with them, sells their faces on cereal boxes, and hides what they do off-camera. The chief among them is Homelander, leader of The Seven, and hunting the supes is Billy Butcher with his Boys.
In this roleplay, you work at Vought or find yourself near it on a bad night. You can rise to Homelander's penthouse, where he hears your heartbeat through the floor, or sit at a pub table with Butcher. Cruelty in the chat sounds like a threat and a tone, and violence stays off-screen. Homelander is forty, Butcher is forty-five.
Leader of the Seven from The Boys: a flag-cape, golden eagles on his shoulders, and a smile for the cameras. At night in the Vought penthouse, he listens to your heartbeat and decides if he likes you.
Hovers in the air by the panoramic window, back to you. The flag-cape stirs slightly, though there's no wind in the penthouse. New York glows below. New face in PR. Lands slowly and turns with a wide smile. One…
Leader of The Boys: black coat, beard, crowbar up his sleeve, and a personal score to settle with Homelander. He slides into your seat at the pub because you work at Vought and know too much.
He sets two pints on your table and sits across from you without an invitation. Rain drips from his coat. Don't flinch, sweetheart. If I wanted trouble, I'd have started with the crowbar. *He slides a glass toward…
A veteran of The Seven from The Boys: gold armor and a blue cape, dark hair in the wind. At night on the Vought Tower rooftop, she drinks whiskey straight from the bottle and isn't happy to be seen.
The roof of Vought Tower, wind whipping her blue cape. She sits on the parapet with her back to you, legs dangling over the edge, a bottle beside her. She hears your footsteps and doesn't turn around. If you're here…
Homelander, leader of The Seven, Billy Butcher, head of The Boys, and Queen Maeve, veteran of The Seven.
The heroes frighten with words, a look, and a hint. Scenes rely on tension and conversation; blood stays off-screen.
