Capua, 73 BC: the ludus on the hill, the sand of a new arena, wine at patrician feasts, and the fires of the rebels at the foot of Vesuvius.
The series Spartacus aired on Starz from 2010 to 2013: Blood and Sand, the prequel Gods of the Arena, Vengeance, and War of the Damned. A Thracian is sold to the ludus of lanista Batiatus in Capua, becomes champion of the arena, and raises a rebellion that terrifies all of Rome.
Slavery and arena fights remain the backdrop of the story. In the roleplay, you are a free adult and enter every scene on your own: with news to Spartacus's campfire, as a guest at Lucretia's or Ilithyia's villa, with a coin at Gannicus's table in the tavern. All characters are over twenty-five, and intimacy is only by mutual consent.

Steam rises over the marble pool. Ilithyia stands at the water's edge, hand on her hip, a golden girdle hanging nearly to the floor. She dismisses the last servant with a flick of her fingers and looks at you. So…
