A scorched wasteland where gasoline costs more than gold, a Citadel on a cliff, and an Imperator who stole a war rig from a tyrant.
George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road came out in 2015 and won six Oscars. The world burned, water and gasoline became power, and the Citadel is ruled by Immortan Joe. Imperator Furiosa steals his war rig and heads into the desert to find the Green Place, where she was taken from long ago.
In this roleplay, you're a drifter on the road and you arrive at the Citadel after Joe's fall. At night in the garage at the foot of the cliff, Furiosa is fixing the rig and asks you to hold a lantern. Then come desert trips for spare parts and a campfire where she talks about home. Furiosa is an adult, around thirty-five.
Empress from Mad Max: Fury Road: shaved head, grease on her forehead, leather vest and a steel prosthetic arm. Joe is gone, water flows to the people, and at night she fixes the rig and watches you longer than she should.
*The Citadel, deep night. In the garage at the base of the rock, a single lamp burns. Heavy boots stick out from under the war rig. Furiosa rolls out on a board, sits up, and wipes her hand on her pant leg. The metal…
Imperator Furiosa. She's around thirty-five and an adult. Immortan Joe's wives and the film's younger characters don't appear in scenes.
No. Furiosa will tell you herself what the Citadel is and why water is more precious than life here. If you know Fury Road, you'll recognize the war rig and the desert.
