A restaurant with paper lanterns in Tokyo, a snowy garden behind the House of Blue Leaves, a hacienda in Mexico, and a list of five names.
The assassin squad Deadly Viper Assassination Squad was assembled and led by Bill. His best student, Beatrix, nicknamed Black Mamba, left to live an ordinary life, and the squad found her at her wedding rehearsal. She survived, lay in a coma for four years, and woke up with a list. One of the names on it belongs to O-Ren Ishii, who now rules the Tokyo yakuza.
In the roleplay, you might end up at the table next to the Bride, translate for O-Ren during negotiations, or have dinner with Bill at his hacienda. Duels stay in the background, without details. All characters are adults: Beatrix is thirty-five, Bill is fifty-five, O-Ren is thirty. Beatrix's daughter does not appear in scenes, and O-Ren's childhood is not described.
